IMPORTANT: read the English form, but you must fill and bring (with a duplicate) the Portuguese form.

VISA:

In some countries you need an invitation letter to get a VISA to come to Portugal (check with your government office).

Contact João Sequeira, RobotCup2004 Registration Chair (jseq@isr.ist.utl.pt) if you need an invitation letter or any other kind of support concerning visas.

Please note that invitation letters can only be sent to registered participants (and hence will not be issued before March 30, 2004). To minimize potential visa delaying problems, you are strongly advised to (i) register early and (ii) to group the requests for invitation letters by team or university, sending them as soon as you or your team are registered.

For safety reasons, participants requesting invitation letters will be kindly requested to send us complete identification information.

CARGO SHIPPING:

Cargo shipping will be managed by Rntrans SA. They are part of a worldwide network of shipping/forwarding agents covering all the countries with teams involved in the RoboCup 2004 event. You may take advantage of that to send your equipment or simply send it through your own agent to their warehouse. In either case, Rntrans will transport the equipment later to the venue (see details on this below).

For countries inside EEC,

• sea freight takes 5 normal working days prior delivery required date
• air freight takes 2 normal working days prior delivery required date

For countries outside EEC,

• sea freight takes 10 normal working days prior delivery required date
• air freight takes 5 normal working days prior delivery required date

Warehousing services by RNTrans SA will be free. The transportation between RNTrans warehouse and FIL will be charged at regular prices ( 35,29 EUR/m3 + VAT at 19%). The teams should contact RNTrans SA for details on the arrival date of the cargo and whether or not some team elements should be present.

Teams are free to use the services of alternative transportation agencies. However, these will not be allowed to operate inside FIL-Feira Internacional de Lisboa. The team must be present at delivery of cargo and ensure the transportation between the entrance of FIL and Pavillion 4 (inside FIL). In this case, the cargo is expected to arrive on June 26 (business schedule) and must be sent to

The cargo is expected to leave the RoboCup 2004 site no later than July 4.

When identifying the transportation boxes with your cargo please don't forget to indicate clearly

• that it is to take part at the RoboCup 2004 event to take place at FIL - Feira Internacional de Lisboa, Lisbon, Portugal
• the names of the team and team leader
• phone and fax contacts.
