Two teams of 5 small vehicles with no on-board sensors play soccer on a field with an overhead camera which provides feedback to an external computer of the game state (e.g., ball, own and opponent player locations). Relevant objects are distinguished by color and colored coded markers on the top of the robots. Commands are sent to the team robots by wireless communications. Some robots play with on-board vision and require no overhead camera. No external intervention by humans is allowed, except to insert or remove robots in/from the field. Link to the league page |
